Adit’s management has proven its ability to recognize value early, gain access and acquire projects on terms that give Adit Resources the ability to assess various options to advance each project. The management team is positioned to leverage its relationships and experience to focus on continuing to build a portfolio of production and exploration projects.
Mr. Francis R. Biscan Jr. – Chairman. Mr. Biscan has been a director of Adit since June 2009. Mr. Biscan has been an officer and director of Tara Gold Resources Corp. since August 2003 and an officer and director of Tara Minerals Corp. since May 2006. Between 1997 and August 2003 Mr. Biscan was an independent financial consultant, providing advice to public and private companies in the areas of capital formation and mergers and acquisitions. He has also served as a Director for Latitude Minerals, a public mining company, and in numerous outside advisory roles. He has also served on the Board of Timothy Christian Schools.
Mr. Robert R. Wheatley – President, CEO and Director. Mr. Wheatley has been an officer and director of Adit since September 15, 2009. Mr. Wheatley has been the President of Prowling Puma, LLC since May 30, 2009. During 2008 and 2009 Mr. Wheatley was the Director of Exploration – North and Central America – for Yamana Gold Inc. Between 1996 and 2007 Mr. Wheatley held a variety of management positions with Meridian Gold Company, the predecessor of Yamana Gold. Prior to his association with Meridian, Mr. Wheatley was a geologist with FMC Gold, Homestake Mining Co., UV Industries and Superior Oil Co. Mr. Wheatley received his Bachelor of Science degree in geological engineering from the University of Arizona in 1974 and his Executive MBA degree from Colorado Technical University in 2006.
Mr. Ramiro Trevizo Ledezma – Director. Mr. Trevizo has been a director of Adit since September 2009. Mr. Trevizo is also the president of Adit’s Mexican subsidiary, American Copper Mining. Mr. Trevizo has also been the President of Corporacion Amermin, S.A. de C.V., the Mexican subsidiary of Tara Gold Corp., since 2005. Between 2003 and 2005, Mr. Trevizo was the President of Grupo Constructor de Desierto, S.A., an engineering company based in Chihuahua, Mexico. Between 2002 and 2004 Mr. Trevizo was a regional manager for D&B Engineering of Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Trevizo was a project manager for Concord, California based OSP Consultants from 1999 to 2002.
Ms. Lynda R. Keeton-Cardno, CPA – CFO. Lynda is the founder of Lynda R. Keeton CPA, LLC, a firm that provides tax management, accounting and audit services. Lynda has a deep working knowledge of Tara Gold and Tara Minerals as she has been providing accounting services to the companies since 2007. Ms. Keeton-Cardno is a licensed certified public accountant in Nevada, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a graduate of Arizona State University’s School of Business and Honor College, and has held the Certified Information Systems Auditor designation. Since 2004, Ms. Keeton-Cardno has provided audit and consulting services to public companies through Lynda R. Keeton CPA, LLC, a PCAOB registered firm that works with both not-for-profit and for-profit companies to ensure internal controls and financial reporting. Prior to this, Ms. Keeton-Cardno worked in the Audit and Advisory group and the Technology Risk Consulting group for Arthur Andersen LLP.
Mr. Clifford A. Brown, CPA – Director, Controller for US Operations. Mr. Brown graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1980 with a B.S. in Accountancy and passed the Illinois Certified Public Accounts’ exam in 1981. He worked as an auditor for Arthur Andersen & Co. in Chicago until 1983 when he left public accounting and became the Controller for two successive private businesses. In 1989, Mr. Brown started his own accounting software sales and consulting company, Clifford A. Brown and Co., a Certified Microsoft Partner, in which he continues as President. Mr. Brown has served as the Treasurer and Board Member of Restoration Ministries, Inc. for the past 10 years, where he has played a role in increasing revenues from $150,000 in 1993 to $1,380,000 in 2003. Mr. Brown also serves as the Winfield Township Clerk and the Vice-Chairman of his local political party.
Mr. Peter Mejstrick – Chief Geologist. Mr. Mejstrick has over twenty years experience as a geologist in all aspects of base and precious metals exploration. Previous employment experience includes Consulting Geologist for Meridian Gold Company, Project Geologist for Royal Gold Inc. where he was responsible for the co-ordination and management of exploration activities for volcanic-hosted precious metal systems in Greece, Senior Geologist at Echo Bay Mines and Project Geologist for Placer Dome. Mr. Mejstrick has a Master of Science from the University of Montana and has undertaken Ph.D. studies at the University of British Columbia.
